Kristofer Padilla
Kristofer Padilla is an audio engineer with a deep love for music that goes back to his childhood. Growing up with a DJ dad, he was exposed to a wide range of genres—from rock and rap to metal, EDM, and pop. By 18, he was already playing guitar, clarinet, trumpet, piano, percussion, and singing, giving him a well-rounded musical foundation.
Originally, Kristofer went to UC Davis with plans to double major in math and music, but he ultimately decided to leave music out, thinking he’d be content with it as just a hobby. For nearly a decade, he focused on a career in software engineering. But throughout that time, music kept quietly pulling him back. Whether it was writing, performing, or producing, the creative drive never faded. Over time, it became clear that music wasn’t something he could leave on the side—it had to be at the center of his life.
Kristofer now works at 18 Source Studios, where he helps artists bring their ideas to life through recording, mixing, and mastering. He creates a space where musicians can focus on what matters most—making great music—while ensuring their sound is the best it can be.
In a music industry that can feel overwhelming and tough to navigate, Kristofer is proud to be part of a local studio that offers everything musicians need in one place. He's excited to help shape the future of the local music scene and make a positive impact on the community.
